A composer in Taos told me the following story from the Native Peoples of that area. When the quaking aspen in the northern mountains of New Mexico changed into their golden autumn colors and the wind blew through them, they appeared to be fiery angels’ wings. The story and his music inspired the image of those graceful trees enclosed by the wings of an angel. Another departure. |
