This drawing came out of a dream I had of Jesus waiting patiently for me as I spent time behind "door number two" or the space of bad memories. He lets me choose how long I want to dwell on such memories, but I know that staying out of that room means staying in the light with him, in the present, in his love. Inside the room is depicted with rows and rows of names of emotions felt when dwelling on negative memories.

This painting came to me as I felt a sense of shame in failing to do what the Lord asked me to do. I wanted to hide away in a cave and not face him again, but then remembered that Jesus forgives us. He is always there for us. This painting captures the moment of feeling hope in coming out of shame to be with Christ again. Thanks goes to Ruth Stewart, my model.

Inspiration for this painting comes from a dream I had of Enos receiving the answer to his prayer after petitioning the Lord all day and into the night, combined with his progenitors today, receiving answers to petitions to the Great Spirit through the symbol of the sacred eagle feather. Thanks goes to Chad Nez for posing for me for this painting.

As I was studying the prelude to the Book of Mormon, and was reading Joseph Smith's account of an angel named, Moroni, visiting him to guide him in his next steps in restoring the gospel of Jesus Christ, an image came into my mind of Joseph being stunned with the brightness of the angel's countenance, as well as his brothers, William and Don Carlos remaining in a deep sleep. I was so pleased to have willing models pose for this painting: Gary Summers, Aaron Stewart, Dutch and Emerson deJong.

This painting came to me as I was working on the painting, "There is a Place For You." I saw in my mind, Vanessa Tedjamulia, the woman in the painting reading her scriptures contemplating the juxtaposition between her Vietnamese heritage and her newfound faith in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. She is wearing her traditional Vietnamese wedding dress in this painting.
