When my nephew, Mikey was born I thought he looked like the perfect model for the baby Jesus, so I asked my neighbors Kari and Tracey to pose for me for this painting with him. The year it was completed (1987), we had a fire in the home which caused smoke damage to the painting, however, after years of being tucked away, my artist friend, Paul, encouraged me to clean and retouch it and bring it back out of the closet. So I did. And I am happy to see it revived again!
